Login to Workday

In the Workday Search Bar > Type “Swap Positions” 

When the tasks shows up click on it to start the position swap.

From the Swap Positions Task

  1. Choose the Effective Date (preferably beginning Sunday of a new/current pay period)

  2. Choose the reason of “Swap Positions”

  3. Use Swap Positions List - Leave unchecked

  4. Event Title - This is free text field that is required. We suggest using one of the following naming convention(s)

    1. Store Manager Swap - Store # & Store #

    2. Store Manager Swap - Stores- #,#

  5. Click the “+” and add the worker(s) you’re planning to swap positions

  6. Click OK to continue.

Now it’s time to choose the Positions you wish to Swap with each Worker.

Add any relevant comments

Click on Submit

Depending on who intiated the event the Business Process may route for approvals and lastly will prompt the proposed Manager with a Compensation Change step. Make adjustments to the employee’s compensation, if necessary, to fully complete this Swap Position Task.
