This Job Aid will guide you through the process of changing how Workday delivers notifications to you.

Below are some examples of notifications:

Alerts: Anniversaries, Birthdays, General Notifications, Time Off)
Business Processes: Notifications pertaining to your job you are responsible for completing. (i.e. Approvals, Delegations, etc.)
Parent Notification Type HCM (Human Capital Management): Notifications pertaining to you and your employees you are responsible for completing. (i.e. Benefits, Onboarding, etc.)

Please Note: By default, Workday will send you a Daily Digest each morning containing all notifications delivered to you for the previous day.

Action

Once logged into Workday, click the Workday Menu button.

Click My Account.

3.

Click Change Preferences.

4.

Scroll down to the Channel box.

5.

Select the Category of the alert you want to manage.

There are three Categories of notifications you will receive:

Alerts: Anniversaries, Birthdays, General Notifications, Time Off)

Business Processes: Notifications pertaining to your job you are responsible for completing. (i.e. Approvals, Delegations, etc.)

Parent Notification Type HCM (Human Capital Management): Notifications pertaining to you and your employees you are responsible for completing. (i.e. Benefits, Onboarding, etc.)

Select the individual notification type.

Click the Send Notification Via Channels reason menu.

Select your notification preference. Options include:

Apple Push Notification: Notifications pushed to your Workday App installed on Apple devices.

Daily Digest Email: Daily email summary sent out each morning.

Disabled: Notifications will not be delivered to you.

Google Cloud Messaging: Notifications pushed to your Workday App installed on Android devices.

Immediate Email: Notifications will be emailed to you immediately.

Please Note: You can select multiple options if desired. However, you cannot select both Daily Digest Email and Immediate Email.

Repeat for each notification type.

When complete, click OK.
