Below listed are the steps when hiring in a candidate and the onboarding process following the completed hire.

1. Candidate Applies | Who: Candidate Where: Finish Line Career Site Candidates can apply for a position at Finish Line through the Finish Line Career Site - This is accessible via https://finishline.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/Store_Careers On the Finish Line Career site, the candidate will select the position they wish to apply to. Before they can apply, they will need to create an account with Finish Line Careers or login with their existing Finish Line Careers account. PLEASE NOTE: This account is different than the account they will use to access the employee version of Workday. Login: Their email Password: Candidate defined If the Candidate forgets the password they will need to click the Forgot Password button on the Finish Line Career Site login page and enter their email. This will send an email to them with a link to reset their password. If they forget their email or cannot access their email account, then they will need to create a new account with Finish Line Careers. |
2. Candidate Enters Personal Information | Who: Candidate Where: Finish Line Career Site Once the Candidate has completed the main portion of their application, they have two final pieces of information they need to provide - Date of Birth and Social Security Number. Date of Birth Candidates will be asked to enter their Date of Birth. Please Note: Candidates who apply for a position in the State of Ohio will not receive this step. (Legally, we cannot ask for the Date of Birth until after we have extended a conditional offer to the Candidate.) For Candidates in Ohio, a task is sent to them after Step 7. Manager Completes the Offer. Additionally, Candidates who input multiple applications will only be asked for their Date of Birth on their first application. 1. Enter Date of Birth. 2. Click OK. Social Security Number (National ID) Candidates will be asked to enter their Social Security Number. Please Note: Candidates who apply for a position in the State of New York will not receive this step. Troubleshooting Step 2: Candidate Enters Personal Information I have an applicant who has applied, but I can’t take any action on them.
If the person listed is a Candidate, they missed either their Date of Birth and/or their Social Security Number on their application. They will need to login to the Finish Line Career Site to complete the task. https://finishline.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/Store_Careers/login Once logged in, they can find the task under Pending Tasks.

3. Management Reviews Application | Who: The entire Management Team Where: Recruiting Dashboard on the Workday homepage Once a Candidate applies, Workday runs a series of tests on them.
Now, the application is in the hands of the management team. 1.Open the Recruiting Dashboard. 2. When a Candidate applies, their application flows into the respective Evergreen Requisition for the store. Each store has 2 Evergreen Requisitions - one for associates and one for management. Open the desired Evergreen Requisition from My Recruiting Jobs. 3. Click the Candidates tab. 4. Click the Proceed with Candidate? button under the Awaiting Me column 5. 4. Management Conducts Phone Screen | Who: The entire Management Team Where: Your Workday Inbox
Once you have their phone number, click Submit on the task. 2. The next item delivered to your Inbox will be the Phone Screen Questionnaire. When you have the opportunity to contact this Candidate, use this questionnaire as a template to guide your conversation. Record their responses to the questions in the boxes. Once complete, click Submit. 3. Make a Decision

5. Management Conducts Interview | Who: The entire Management Team Where: Your Workday Inbox It is now time to conduct an Interview on the Candidate. Interview documents and questionnaires are delivered to your Workday Inbox. For non-management Candidates, there is 1 document and 1 questionnaire delivered. For management, there are 2 of each. 1. (Optional) Open and print the Interview Supplement(s) for the Candidate. Use this to guide the Interview and as a place to take notes during their Interview. Once printed, click Submit. 2. Conduct the Interview! 3. Record the Candidate's responses in the Interview Questionnaire. You have two options. You can either:
Once complete, click Submit. 4. Move Candidate off Evergreen Requisition. We use Evergreen Requisitions to source Candidates. However, we cannot hire off of an Evergreen Requisition. The Evergreen tells us where the Candidate wants to apply and the job-level they would like. We can define the exact position we want them to fill by moving them to a linked Job Requisition. Therefore, you must move the Candidate to a linked Job Requisition.
This is the first time a task will be sent to your Workday Inbox providing you the instructions on how to move the Candidate to the linked Job Requisition. To move the Candidate:

6. Management Conducts Reference Check | Who: The entire Management Team Where: Your Workday Inbox It is now time to conduct a Reference Check on the Candidate. 1. A task will be sent to the Inbox of each member of the Management team at your store. This task will inform you that this Candidate is ready for a Reference Check and will provide the instructions for finding the phone number of their Reference on their application. Once you have their phone number, click Submit on the task. 2. The next item delivered to your Inbox will be the Reference Check Questionnaire. When you have the opportunity to contact this Reference, use this questionnaire as a template to guide your conversation. Record their responses to the questions in the boxes. Once complete, click Submit. 3. If you failed to move the Candidate off the Evergreen Requisition after the interview, you will be presented with a new task providing you the same instructions as before. If you click Submit without reading and following the instructions provided, the task will repeat forever until you follow the instructions. To move the Candidate:

7. Manager Completes the Offer | Who: The Manager Where: Your Workday Inbox It is now time to complete the Offer.

8. Background Check | Who: Recruiting Coordinators in Customer Central Where: Customer Central If this Candidate is applying for either a position at a Finish Line Macy's or a management-level position at a core Finish Line store, then they will be required to complete a Background Check. If not, skip to Step 8. Complete the Hire. Once you complete Step 6, then the Recruiting Coordinators in the Home Office kick off a Background Check on the Candidate.

9. Manager Completes the Hire | Who: The Manager Where: Your Workday Inbox It is now time to finalize the details on the hire. The manager will have tasks in their Workday inbox to complete that validate the employee's hire.

10. Employee Onboarding in Workday | Workday will create the Employee ID and send the employee an email with the link to the employee-facing version of Workday and give them instructions on how to login for the first time. Now that the new hire is an official employee, they have to complete several onboarding tasks to complete their Workday account. These tasks are split in too. First Tasks
Second Tasks Once Enter Personal Information and Enter Contact Information are complete, a second set of tasks become available for the employee.

Candidates only appear on Job Requisitions once they have been moved.On your Recruiting Dashboard, make sure you are opening the Requisitions tagged Evergreen. 7.
