Ongoing Voluntary Deduction

This job aid should help an employee navigate Workday and add an Ongoing Voluntary Deduction to be payroll deducted at the time of their choosing.

Login to Workday

In the Workday Search Bar > Type “Voluntary Deductions” 

When the report shows up click on it to view and maintain your Employee Relief and Finish Line Youth Foundation Deductions.

From the Voluntary Deductions Report 

You can View, Add, Edit, or Delete (only if it hasn’t been used)

To Add a Voluntary Deduction - One-time please follow the below steps

From the Voluntary Deductions report - Click “Add

Then

Choose the deduction you’re wanting to add

Add an Ongoing Deduction by selection the following.

Frequency - Select > Ongoing

Start Date - Let the system grab the next available Start Date or input your own

End Date - Leave it blank for ongoing or choose when you want the deduction to stop.

Value - Choose the dollar amount you want to have deducted. 

Minimum - $1 Maximum - $150

Click OK to submit this.
