Resetting an Employee's Password

This job aid will provide managers with instructions on how to reset their employee’s password if the employee is unable to do so themselves.

Once logged into Workday, click the My Team icon.

Hover over the employee you wish to reset.

3.

Click the Actions button.

Click Security Profile.

5.

Click Manage Workday Account Credentials.

You have two options:

  • Option 1: Select Generate Random Password. The new password will be emailed to the employee’s personal email address on file.

  • Option 2: Create and verify a new password. Make sure Require New Password at Next Sign In is selected.

7.

Click OK.

8.

Click Done.
